{March 11, 2013} Baptism!

Hello family and friends!

I don't have much time again, but here is the email I sent to my mission president. I thought it explained a lot of what has been happening this week.
Hello President & Sister Millar,
This week was wonderful! We got a baptism, Robert Stephen Glanville was baptized and confirmed this weekend, it was a wonderful experience for all of us. The members of the Epsom ward are so supportive and loving to everyone that comes to church, it is amazing. Robert had a wonderful experience, he has felt the power of the Atonement more fully in his life. He is now coming to church with a nice white shirt at tie, rather than normal street clothes, he's cleaned up and a completely different person! It has been such a fun life long learning experience teaching Robert and experiencing the spirit so strongly.
Other than the baptism this week, we have been trying to find new investigators as always, we managed to pick up one, but he wasn't very promising, we already lost contact with him after a few days meeting him. We weren't able to teach as many lessons as we would have liked to, but we are still happy with our results and efforts.
We had an interesting experience this week, late one evening. A recent convert called us and asked us to come to her house, her 18 year old son was home, who is a trouble maker, and she needed some help. She said it was an emergency so we went at 10:30. We ran to her house and sat down and spoke with her son Lucas, they were all crying and yelling at each other, the baby of the family was screaming & crying, it was all just a mess. We didn't really know what to do, we calmed down Lucas and asked Elian (the mother) to leave the room. We spoke to Lucas just as friends, what his hobbies are, what he's doing for work, etc... he completely calmed down and was friendly and open. After speaking to him for 20 minutes, Elian came back in the room and we all had a good conversation about the Gospel, and how it will bless families. we then shared a Mormon message from the DVD's you gave us, and it immediately invited the spirit, we watched the message about the Father who lost most of his family in a car accident, and forgave the teen aged drunk driver. the message fit so well with what this family was going through. Not that anyone died, but about forgiveness, and looking forward, and how everything that the father was going through about his anger towards the teenage drunk driver, was directed to the Savior. Forgiveness, peace, love...etc.
The night ended well and peaceful, we left listening to Lucas and Elian telling each other how much they love each other.
It was a great experience.
Thank you for the DVD's.
I love you both President & Sister Millar,
Thank you for your hard work, and love for all of us.
I love you both.

Love Elder Keller
QUICK STORY..
I confirmed Robert, I was so scared....I don't know why, but during sacrament meeting we confirmed him, and while I was giving the blessing part, i just started to shake like crazy..I seriously looked like i was jumping up and down. I sat in silence cause I was trying to calm down and listen to the spirit guide me, but all I could think about was if I looked stupid, haha but after standing there in silence for like 30 seconds and shaking really bad, the brother next to me that had his hand on my shoulder, squoze it in a comforting way as if he were telling me, "I love you, keep goin", I felt the spirit tell me that, and the spirit just guided me through the rest of the blessing, even though I was being an instrument in the hands of the Lord.
After sacrament meeting, people told me I did I good job, it felt really comforting, cause I was so nervous. I went up the the brother that squoze my shoulder during the blessing and thanked him for that, and what I felt. He said "no problem man, I've been there before, I know how it feels. You were shaking a lot though, I thought you were going to be translated." Hahahaha I thought that was pretty funny, cause I was shaking that bad. The brothers name was Paul Leppard, he is like 23 years old, hes way cool.
I LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL!!
CHEERS!! ITS SNOWING LIKE CRAZY OVER HERE.
PS: we got a baptism as you know, so we celebrated and got a Kebab, they are popular over her cause there are so many Indians. So when missionaries get a baptism, we celebrate and go get a "Kebaptism."

Baptism pictures, Kebaptism feast, last day in Brighton...
