Hey everyone!
So these last 5 days have been very different, the work in London is the complete opposite than my last areas, especially Cornwall, ha! So as you would imagine there is so many people and so many Africans as I mentioned in my last email. The work is always talking to people, constantly! I don't know how my voice is going to last. It's very loud because of all the traffic, and people yelling and everything. It's just a big city. I'm not in central London where all of the sky scrappers are, I'm just out side of that. I can see central London from a distance, its so cool!
Anyways the work is good. I came in this area and it is VERY DISORGANIZED. The comp that I'm serving with is not the most organized person, so I'm trying to get things back together so we can work more effectively. My comp is not very confident in himself, he struggles with a lot of things. We actually have a lot of the same weaknesses such as teaching, which is very important. So we really need to humble up and work hard together and try our best. To be honest these 5 days were rough, just because I have no idea what were doing. 'm trying to find the area, and see what we need to do! I don't even know who we are working with, the area book is a complete mess!!!! So it looks like I'm just going to start things over again.
The dudes that I'm living with are Elders Patten, Diaz, and Pond, they are great guys. Pond is American, Patten is from Wales, and Diaz is from Venezuela. It's cool.
So not too much has really happened. Church was good, no one really acknowledge me, I felt weird being there haha but they are all wonderful people, and again, lots of black people in the ward. I spoke to one white girl who was from Malibu Cali! Her grandparents live in the Pepperdine College ward or something, so she might know Casey and Marla. I forgot her name, but that was cool. I introduced myself to the ward, and I felt like I could have done better. Our bishop is Mark Manning, he's on all of our pass along cards, and the Mormon.org Ads in London, his face is everywhere. I'll send you a link to you about my bishop. He has a 'I'm a mormon' video.
I love and miss all of you! Hope again all is well.
cheers! ;)
