Hello my fellow friends and family!
This week was interesting here in London! I'm so happy I can say that I'm in London now. :)
so LONDON was good, the weather is finally starting to warm up, and stay that way, I think I have received some wonderful Vitamin D in me, so I feel good, my skin is going from pasty pasty to normal Utah pasty, which is still pretty white.
The work...
The work is still a bit slow up here, it wasn't what I was expecting, but that just means I need to work harder. We are working with a few people named Sandip and Samuel. They both have come to church, but I feel like they aren't progressing spiritually, which is not good. They are reading from the Book of Mormon, but for some reason I don't think they are feeling the spirit a whole lot. So we are trying to figure out what their needs are, and how we can help them have a stronger conversion. We just found out that Samuel is moving back to Africa in a month, so we need to plan how we want to go on with him, whether we should continue teaching him and work for baptism, or just teach him basic truths and hopefully send his name as a referral to Africa. I don't know. He has a cousin who is a member and shes great, I think she will be a huge influence to Samuel and maybe Samuel will want to step up.
Sandip came to church yesterday, it seemed like he was a bit annoyed, so I asked him if anything was bugging him, and he just went off telling me how annoyed he is with all the little kids running around and yelling, because he is trying to listen and learn which is good, but I think church really dragged for him, he actually left about 10 minutes early during priesthood. I was confused, so we are going to try to figure out what his concerns are other than the kids, and that is a concern that will be a little difficult to handle.
So I had an African meal called Fufu...It's terrible, ha ha. There so many different types of fufu, my first fufu ever was fish head fufu papa...It was so nasty. They pretty much got a raw fish head and cut it up and put it in some sauce...It was nasty and no I did not eat it all, I maybe took like 6 bites. I felt so bad because the Africans get really offended if you don't eat absolutely everything! But I was rude and did not eat something that was going to kill me...
Anyways, it was a good week, it could have gone better. We will work harder this week and find more Africans to teach.
I love and miss all of you so much!
