{June 11, 2013} Central London, Special Speaker, New Companion!

Hello fellow Fam and friends,

This week was cool. I have hardly any time to share what happened this week...

So the reason why I didn't email yesterday was because we had a surprise Zone conference in central London, we knew we might have one a few days before, but it wasn't official. So we found out yesterday morning that it was going down. We got on a train to CENTRAL LONDON BABY!! I was so pumped!! We didn't have time to take any pictures or anything cause we were jogging to the High Park chapel, it was so sweet!! London is so crazy! On the other side of the river it is a completely different place, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It's so RICH on the other side, I think I saw over 50 cars that were worth more than $150,000. I'm dead serious, all the stores were ridiculously pricey..it was just crazy, and there were only white people pretty much...just on the other side of the river, that much changes...it was cool though. I saw Big Ben from a distance and cool cool things, but vain things compared to the Gospel of course.

So we went to the high park chapel with half of our mission, and the London North mission was there as well, we were told that we cannot talk to the other missionaries...weird...but ok, so we had a guest speaker, and it was Elder M. Russell Ballard. It was a surprise for all of us. I sat on the 3rd row, it was a great experience. He looked really tired. The reason why we didn't find out till that morning that the conference was going to happen was because Elder Ballard was in Germany and he couldn't decide to either go to Russia Moscow, or London. So he prayed and the Lord told him to come to London. So he did. It was so cool! He told us a lot of stories about the restoration, and how we all need to be better teachers, teach more simply with power and authority. He was amazing. A lot of other things happened that he explained and taught, but it was all focused on the Restoration, and Priesthood and how we need to be basic, which I LOVED to listen to, I took it all in because I love simplicity, that is how I roll! That is the only thing I can do pretty much, ha ha but I need the power bit in there. So he was definitely told by the Lord to come to London. Wow, I'm so grateful. ;)

It was also exciting to leave our mission boundaries, it was exciting for all of us. Central London, I would love to visit again after the mission.

Anyways the missionary work here is getting better, we are finding more people to teach, which we are very excited for! Right before emailing we picked up a new gator named Ben, he's Nigerian...surprise surprise, he's super cool and really serious about finding out the the truth. He is committed! Ade, is ade...He has been really lazy lately...I'm not too happy with him. He's not really getting what we are trying to work towards. We weren't able to get a member present with him yet, which is disappointing.. but we will this week. The other elders in our flat are having crazy success, I'm so proud of them, they have like 4 baptismal dates and they knocked in and gave a family of 3 dates as well. So its so cool to see miracles happen here in London, we just need to pray for guidance, and have a vision of the success we can and will have.

I love you all so much! Thank you for your prayers and love.

PS. my comp is Elder Schmoekel, he's from Cali, he knows Jeff Dickamore and his wife, mainly his wife really well cause they are in the same ward. So that was cool! Ha ha we found that out while we were in a teach. It was funny.
