Hello Everyone!

So before I forget... I've been trying to remind myself to tell you all that I am serving in the Epsom ward as they call it, and guess who served in the same area as me??? ELDER HOLLAND!!! so so so cool! I will be baptizing someone in the exact same faunt as Elder Holland did! so that's just a cool fact I would like to begin with.

This week has been great! we have been teaching some cool people! we have 4 baptismal dates, 2 of them are very promising. Susan and Erin. Susan asked me to baptize her yesterday at church for the 8th of December! so i will be getting my first baptism on my mission, after patiently waiting for over 8 months.... wow... but its worth it. Erin is an 9 year old girl who wants to be baptized on the 15th of December! she is a cute little girl that knows the church is true! the work is going pretty well here in Redhill, we just need to FIND MORE PEOPLE. that is something we have been struggling with is finding.. so pray that i will be better contacter. we have been teaching a mother named Denisse, and her son Brendan, we were at there home on Saturday, we just sat and chatted with them about what there concerns are, and just clear everything up, because they want to be baptized.. but we feel that they aren't really taking it all in. Brendan has a hard time believing in God.. he wants to believe in him, but he really in into science.. which leads to a lot of other stuff.. we have interesting conversations with him about science. anyways while we were talking with them, Denisse grabbed her little laptop and surprised us with her sister on skype, who lives in Peru, with missionaries from over there.. it was really weird.. they all we speaking Spanish and laughing at us.. so Denisse translated for us. Denisse's sister was recently baptized, so we are all trying to get her baptized! it was really fun, i had the missionaries from Peru share there testimony to Dennisse, and share some spiritual thoughts. so we basically had a lesson with 3 people present from and in Peru, it was cool. the missionaries were telling us how many people they were baptizing, one of them who has been out for 5 months has baptized 9, the other one who has been out for a year in a half has baptized 30.. wow.. all Lamanites are being baptized! so great! so that was a very interesting teach. it went well and i felt the spirit as the Peru missionaries spoke there Spanish.

Yesterday we were invited to go to a church called the Hope church.. by the hope members who called us last week. So we went and it was interesting. I don't really know what they really believe, but while we were there all they did was sing and the priest just was praying the whole time. there was so many prayers going on in the tiny building, the priest seriously prayed for 30 minutes.. i got so bored i just pulled out my scriptures and read true doctrine. even though they did have some truth, they are Christian. in some of their prayers they were praying for the truth to come to them.. I was so hesitant to just stand up in front of the whole congregation and preach to them about the restored gospel! But I didn't.. the people were nice.. they new about Mormons.. but they just wanted our attendance pretty much.

Anyways I gotta go! I love and miss you all so much, I hope everything is okay and that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I didn't do much for Thanksgiving just to let you know;) I love you all, Cheers!

Hey everyone!

Sorry i didn't email you all last week..I didn't have any time...l I have no time now, but really quick, this week was great! We are teaching a mother named Denisse, and her son named Brendan, he is 15. We first taught them last week, it went really well! We taught them a few days ago the plan of salvation and that went well! We gave them a baptismal date for the 29 of Dec, and they said yes! It was fantastic! They are great people!! We saw them on Saturday for the 3rd time, they ordered pizza for us and we watched the restoration DVD with them. It was fun! After the movie, Denisse had some concerns... some weird ones. We tried our best to answer her questions and I was just praying so hard in my mind that she will just stop and listen for the still small voice and that she will just be humble...and of course my prayer was answered! After listening and answering her questions I just tried to calm everything down and I said "hey, we made you a reading calendar, will you read the book of Mormon every day? It's only a few verses a day with a question. I gave the calendar to Brendan and he looked at it for a little bit and he said "Mom, we start reading on the 18th!" And they both were just silent..,and they explained to us that the number 18 is their special number. They are both born on the 18th, their house number is the 18th, and sadly their dad died on the 18th. So they both were kinda shocked and humbled.. Denisse took it as an answer to her prayer, so she stopped asking a bunch of questions and she just said, "okay, we will read and pray every day, we will pray really hard and we will find out if this is the church for us" it was really cool! I believe that was an answer to our prayers! So that was one of the cool experiences I had this week.

Anyways I love and miss all of you so much! I hope you all will have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I'll be eating weird things.. speaking of weird things...I tried black pudding!! It was so disgusting!! It's just blood and other crap...you don't wanna know..it was terrible. I also held a huge eagle owl that a member had, it was cool. I'll send pics later. I love you all! The work is going well!

Cheers!

The owl, some member has a zoo  of owls in his back yard...It's crazy! He also randomly had a huge Tortus which weighed like 65 pounds!!
