Hello Everyone!

So before I forget... I've been trying to remind myself to tell you all that I am serving in the Epsom ward as they call it, and guess who served in the same area as me??? ELDER HOLLAND!!! so so so cool! I will be baptizing someone in the exact same faunt as Elder Holland did! so that's just a cool fact I would like to begin with.

This week has been great! we have been teaching some cool people! we have 4 baptismal dates, 2 of them are very promising. Susan and Erin. Susan asked me to baptize her yesterday at church for the 8th of December! so i will be getting my first baptism on my mission, after patiently waiting for over 8 months.... wow... but its worth it. Erin is an 9 year old girl who wants to be baptized on the 15th of December! she is a cute little girl that knows the church is true! the work is going pretty well here in Redhill, we just need to FIND MORE PEOPLE. that is something we have been struggling with is finding.. so pray that i will be better contacter. we have been teaching a mother named Denisse, and her son Brendan, we were at there home on Saturday, we just sat and chatted with them about what there concerns are, and just clear everything up, because they want to be baptized.. but we feel that they aren't really taking it all in. Brendan has a hard time believing in God.. he wants to believe in him, but he really in into science.. which leads to a lot of other stuff.. we have interesting conversations with him about science. anyways while we were talking with them, Denisse grabbed her little laptop and surprised us with her sister on skype, who lives in Peru, with missionaries from over there.. it was really weird.. they all we speaking Spanish and laughing at us.. so Denisse translated for us. Denisse's sister was recently baptized, so we are all trying to get her baptized! it was really fun, i had the missionaries from Peru share there testimony to Dennisse, and share some spiritual thoughts. so we basically had a lesson with 3 people present from and in Peru, it was cool. the missionaries were telling us how many people they were baptizing, one of them who has been out for 5 months has baptized 9, the other one who has been out for a year in a half has baptized 30.. wow.. all Lamanites are being baptized! so great! so that was a very interesting teach. it went well and i felt the spirit as the Peru missionaries spoke there Spanish.

Yesterday we were invited to go to a church called the Hope church.. by the hope members who called us last week. So we went and it was interesting. I don't really know what they really believe, but while we were there all they did was sing and the priest just was praying the whole time. there was so many prayers going on in the tiny building, the priest seriously prayed for 30 minutes.. i got so bored i just pulled out my scriptures and read true doctrine. even though they did have some truth, they are Christian. in some of their prayers they were praying for the truth to come to them.. I was so hesitant to just stand up in front of the whole congregation and preach to them about the restored gospel! But I didn't.. the people were nice.. they new about Mormons.. but they just wanted our attendance pretty much.

Anyways I gotta go! I love and miss you all so much, I hope everything is okay and that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I didn't do much for Thanksgiving just to let you know;) I love you all, Cheers!

some pics from the last few weeks;
-the "some people are gay" wow.. what is this world coming to...
-the temple! what a sweet picture at night! i love my London temple!
-disappointment about obama being elected.. news papers all over the place about obama that day...It sucked.

Hey everyone!

Sorry i didn't email you all last week..I didn't have any time...l I have no time now, but really quick, this week was great! We are teaching a mother named Denisse, and her son named Brendan, he is 15. We first taught them last week, it went really well! We taught them a few days ago the plan of salvation and that went well! We gave them a baptismal date for the 29 of Dec, and they said yes! It was fantastic! They are great people!! We saw them on Saturday for the 3rd time, they ordered pizza for us and we watched the restoration DVD with them. It was fun! After the movie, Denisse had some concerns... some weird ones. We tried our best to answer her questions and I was just praying so hard in my mind that she will just stop and listen for the still small voice and that she will just be humble...and of course my prayer was answered! After listening and answering her questions I just tried to calm everything down and I said "hey, we made you a reading calendar, will you read the book of Mormon every day? It's only a few verses a day with a question. I gave the calendar to Brendan and he looked at it for a little bit and he said "Mom, we start reading on the 18th!" And they both were just silent..,and they explained to us that the number 18 is their special number. They are both born on the 18th, their house number is the 18th, and sadly their dad died on the 18th. So they both were kinda shocked and humbled.. Denisse took it as an answer to her prayer, so she stopped asking a bunch of questions and she just said, "okay, we will read and pray every day, we will pray really hard and we will find out if this is the church for us" it was really cool! I believe that was an answer to our prayers! So that was one of the cool experiences I had this week.

Anyways I love and miss all of you so much! I hope you all will have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I'll be eating weird things.. speaking of weird things...I tried black pudding!! It was so disgusting!! It's just blood and other crap...you don't wanna know..it was terrible. I also held a huge eagle owl that a member had, it was cool. I'll send pics later. I love you all! The work is going well!

Cheers!

The owl, some member has a zoo  of owls in his back yard...It's crazy! He also randomly had a huge Tortus which weighed like 65 pounds!!

Elder Keller got Transferred to a new area! {Helston to Redhill}

Hello everyone!

Just a heads up, emailing  is going to stink for me now because I no longer have 2 hours to email. I only have 1, so it's going to be brief.

so as you know my new area is Redhill. It's very different than Helston. VERY!! So I've never taught so many lessons in my life! We taught 18 lessons rather then 4 in Helston, so I'm getting a lot of experience!! I'm so grateful! Street contacting is a whole different world here. The first person I talked to here was on the street and we have an appointment with her on Friday...wow! So people are very receptive here! It's so great. People are human here! They have personalities and they are genuine. I'm not used to this! it' like I'm dreaming, ha ha! We have been teaching a lot of people and I've been feeling the spirit so much stronger then ever. It makes me want more and more!! We have been teaching this guy named "Binkey," he was baptized last Sunday by my comp, but he hasn't been given the Holy Ghost. so guess who got to do that yesterday?? Yeah... ME! I don't really know this guy that well, but we did teach him everyday last week until yesterday just to keep him feeling the spirit! Ha ha. So I gave him the blessing yesterday in sacrament meeting in front of a brand new ward that is 3 times bigger then my last ward in Helston, I've never confirmed someone before so I didn't know what to say, so I just confirmed him and just mentioned the holy ghost and how important it is and how it can bless our lives. I feel like I could have relied on the Lord for help a bit more. I was just so scared, but it went alright. Oh by the way Binkey's real name is AZEEM U DIN JOHN SADAM USEEM ALIBAIH MO HAMMID.... yeah, that was really tough to remember when I was confirming him...it was crazy!! haha but it was great! I love the guy! He's from India!

Anyways I have no time now, I love and miss all of you so much!! I hope everything is going well!
The church is true and I'm excited for the work here in Redhill!

GO MITT!!
I love you!! Cheers!

October 30, 2012

Hello!

So I'm sorry that I didn't email you guys yesterday, it's because we had MOVES! So Sunday morning I got a call and I was told that I'm moving up to this area called Redhill and it's up by Londonish, so it's very different then Helston, ha! Sunday I had to pack obviously and I had the leave that night so we went to church and I was able to say my goodbye's. I bore my testimony to the ward and thanked them for everything they've done for me the last 7 months, it was good and sad. I had to say my goodbye's to my best friend in the ward, Brett Jolliffe/the Jolliffe family, it was sad. I love the Helston ward so much. After church I basically packed all day and visited some people and said goodbye. At church we actually had 2 gators there so once I flippin leave we get gators coming to church...!! GOSH! Ha ha but that's great! So the zone leaders came to our flat at 10:00pm Sunday night and I had to drive up to Newton Abbot, with Elder McCook and some sisters. It was a very late, tiring, night..haha I drove the car and we didn't get to our destination till 3:30am. I was and am still so tired...The next morning got up dark and early and traveled up to the London Temple! It was great! It was all like 7 hours of driving, so I'm exhausted.

My new companion is Elder Fingerle, he's from Germany! He's a wonderful kid, I'm follow up training him.. so its fun! He's very humble and funny ha ha, so yep right now I'm in RedHill and this morning we taught a lady named Susan, and she is now a new investigator and we will see her next week...wow! Already there is success! This area is pretty successful I hear so I'm very excited! We will be teaching a lot more than I did down in Helston.

So anyways I sure love and miss all of you! Thank you for all your support! Please keep your emails limited...haha I logged in and I had 44 emails...wow...I love all of you too!! But its a little sketchy, cause then I feel like I have to respond to ALL of them haha. So basically I'm talking to dad, Scott Keller...haha love all of you!!!

Cheers! ;)

October 22, 2012 {Wow! Sorry for the lack of updates! Getting caught up:)}

Hey everyone!

This week was probably the slowest week, but it's alright, we did have exchanges so that was good! I went to the big city Plymouth with one of our Zone leaders, I had a lot of fun with Elder Livingston, he's probably the funniest kid I've ever met. He's from Layton and lives right next to Quail Cove! haha.

This week we only taught 5 lessons, but I did felt the spirit strong in those lessons! Our only baptismal date that we had dislocated her shoulder and moved back to London, so I'm a little sad, but its okay because she still wants to be baptized!! We are teaching a lot of old people haha its pretty fun and interesting, so not too much happened this week.
Yesterday we had Stake Conference! President Millar (mission pres) came down and spoke. Lots of people spoke and it all was about the Atonement pretty much. I love learning more about the Atonement! It was wonderful! After we had interviews with president, I love our mission president, he's a wonderful man!

Sorry guys this is a lame email, but people are rushing me right now to get off the computer, so I'm really sorry!

The pictures are sweet!! Where the pilgrims left, super cool!
And we went to Michael's Mount again last week! and I sat on the same sofa the the Queen did!! So I thought that was cool! :)

Cheers everyone!! I love and miss all of you! I know the church is true and I love being a representative of our Savior!

 PS: I'm wearing a sweet lime green and black Man U jersey! ;)

October 1, 2012

Hey Everyone,

So this week was good! We have been teaching more people and we have found 5 new investigators! So that's wonderful! We are starting to have a lot more success over here! Elder Romney is a huge help, the kid really knows how to work hard and not let one person pass us without us talking to them, ha ha it's crazy. We received a referral from the office a few days ago, and we called the girl up and we set up an appointment for tomorrow! I'm really excited to meet and teach her. She went to a christian camp thing in America and she met some mormon girls that were at the camp, they became friends and the mormons taught her and she was very interested! So somehow we got her info and we will be teaching her! So pumped! We did some knocking in the area in Falmouth, and we found streets with college students living everywhere!! Finally I see young people! We found a lot of kids that we will be teaching this week, they are from all over around the world, its really cool to get to know them. I haven't met any Americans yet tho, but lots of black people all of the sudden! Haha its great! It's like a whole bunch of Chancy's running and talking everywhere. We knocked on this one door in Falmouth, and these 2 young college student girls answered, and invited us right in. We sat down and they asked us if we wanted tea and biscuits...We said no thanks, but they got it for us anyways...S we sat and chatted with them and shared our message about the restoration, it went well, but they seemed sketchy. I tried the tea...it wasnt the bad tea that we can't drink, it was some kind of apple tea and it was nasty. The biscuits were great! Haha so that just was an interesting visit. We gave them a book of mormon and set a return appointment. We will see how that goes.
I am super bummed...We were supposed to play basketball with like 8 investigators last monday and even today...They all canceled.. I was so excited to play and teach! But hopefully we will be able to teach next monday. Anyways the work is doing much better, we have people to teach, we are using the members like crazy, and talking to everyone...I'm super exhausted and I'm trying to improve on everything. I'm trying really hard to make my weaknesses become strengths! So keep prayin for me please! I really need some extra help! Sure love and miss all of you! Hope all is well!

GO MITT!

Cheers! ;)

Side note:Last week we received a package and hand written letter & pictures from Elder Keller, it was fun for a change! (Hence, the lack of a letter on the blog the week of September 24th :) ALSO, He is still in Helston!

Will he get transferred out of Helston!?? We'll see next week!

 Hey everyone!

So this week are moves....and I strongly feel that I will be leaving Helston. I've been here for almost 6 months so I feel like thee Elder Keller needs to move on, but who knows I might stay. It's most likely that I will leave so I said bye to a few families that I am really close with and it was sad, but at the same time i might stay so it'll be awkward if I do stay after saying goodbye to a few people haha.

This week has been busy, we have been seeing a lot of less actives, less actives that I havent met yet. They were interesting, but went well. We still haven't really taught that many people, which is sad. We did teach a guy named Richard yesterday after church, and brother Topham came with us! So we were going in there to teach Richard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and we told bro Topham that we will ask him questions when we want him to speak haha, so we go in there and brother Topham is off on saying a whole bunch of things. After 10 minutes of trying to take control of the lesson I just gave up cause bro Topham just would not stop, it was so frustrating...especially when he was bringing up the temple, patriarchal blessings, Visions, D&C.. etc. It was bad...so yeah, it was pretty annoying, but Richard and bro Topham are good friends now so that's really good, but way too much info and things that just weren't necessary to say were said. So next Sunday we will see how it goes, haha.

Yesterday I was able to give a member of our ward a blessing. It was my first blessing out on the mission. I didn't really know what to say at all really and I didnt really know the member all that well, but he asked me to give him a blessing, and I did. It was me, Elder Sparks and Brett Jolliffe who is a member. Brett and Derrick (the guy i gave a blessing to) were talking to eachother before Derrick even asked me to give him a blessing, and they were talking about what has been going on in his life...all of his trials, sicknesses, etc. When I gave him a blessing it was just a simple blessing, and I just mentioned a lot about Jesus Christ, how the scriptures will help and guide him in his life etc. It was a blessing that I was really really relying on the Spirit to help me say the right things. I learned that I should not be affraid to just open the blessing and just wait and listen to what the Spirit will tell you what to say, and I learned that when the blessing was already going on. It was wonderful. After the blessing, Brett came up to me and said I did a wonderful spiritual blessing, he knew that was my first blessing and he was really cool about it. He told me everything I said in the blessing was what Brett and Derrick were talking about before I knew I was going to actually give a blessing. Its so amazing how the spirit works in us. I really had a wonderful day yesterday having that experience in using the priesthood that I am blessed to have. It was wonderful! ;)

Anyways I love and miss all of you, I hope everything is going well back at home. If you guys would be so kind, please pray for me. I know you are, but I need some help and guidance. I need to understand how to teach people, and actually find people to teach.

I love and miss all of you. Read and pray everyday, I can't tell you how much I love the scriptures, I've come to realize how powerful and wonderful the scriptures are. I find verses everyday that really uplift me and makes me want to do better and love and care for everyone around me.
Cheers everyone! ;)

P.s. The pictures:

-the tophams and I! They live in a motorhome! It's so fun to have dinner appointments with them! haha.

Hey Everyone!

So another short email for you....Last monday we did that hike i was telling you about and it was a tiny little hill...haha so here are some pictures of that hill. It was pretty cool. It was an easy hike I must say, about a 15 minute hike. So that was fun. Later that p-day we went back to Helston and we had an appointment to play basketball with some gators!! Sam and Dee and Lestyn who is a less active. We played ball in this ghetto none-used basketball court. It was Sparks and I vs. these 3 guys that are in their early 20's. These guys play for the Cornwall b-ball team, so I was thinking they were going to be really good. We played them going to 11, 3 of them against us 2, and we beat them 15 to 2.......hahaha they actually alright, but they just couldn't make a layup, so we taught them how to make layups haha, it was really fun! Afterwards, we were walking back to Sams car, and right before we got in the car I said "HOLD UP! SPIRITUAL THOUGHT TIME." Haha I almost forgot that we were supposed to teach them after we played cause these guys are really awesome & we all are pretty much best friends. They LOVE Americans! ;) So we gave everyone a Book of Mormon and we read the introduction page. We all read a paragraph each, and the spirit was so with us. It was so great! Sam and Dee had wonderful questions and really wanted to learn more. They said they would read the book of mormon! So we scheduled a bball/lesson appointment, which is tonight! I'm super excited! After we read the intro page, I really testified of the book of mormon like I haven't before, it was a great feeling, Elder Sparks did as well. We know that Dee and Sam really knew what we were saying was true. On our way home in Sams car they were asking a bunch of questions that were simple to answer and explain. I felt like i was on fire!! It always feels great when you're prepared to answer peoples questions. It wasn't me tho...It was the spirit! ;)

The rest of the week has been a bit slow...until the weekend! We taught Ben and Len, as well as Richard! The lessons went really well, we actually found their needs, which I realized I don't focus enough on with out gators...so that kinda helped out a lot, ha so all of that went really well! We also taught John Spires again! He really wants to change, so we are there to help him, but not be his mother all of the time, so we are giving him a 3rd chance to really commit to the things we give him. He is reading the book of mormon again! So hopefully he will keep goin! That day we taugh John in Penzance, we saw a guy sitting on a bench that was completely wiped out haha he spilt his beer while he was sleeping and some really funny things happed while watching him. He was so stoned and drunk and all of that, it was ridiculous, So I had to take a picture. haha.

Anyways I love and miss all of you so much! The work here is slow, but we are working and praying hard! Miracles will happen! We are just waitin for it to come and working hard for it to come! I'm learning so much each day, I just wish I had more experience teaching people!

Cheers! ;)

Planting Seeds!

 Ello! :)

So this will be really quick cause I have to go! We are going on a hike baby!! The tallest hill in Cornwall!!! Its about 76 feet above sea level!! So it’s huge yo!!!

So this week was a bit slow again....Elder Sparks and I are still happy! We have good attitudes most of the time! And we leave the flat EXPECTING SUCCESS!! I’ve learned if we just say a quick prayer right before we leave the flat and say, "alright there is someone out there just waiting for us to speak to them" it works!! Just EXPECT something good is going to happen. Always always think that! But unfortunately...our expectations haven’t happened this last week. But it will this week! We will baptize many soon to come!

A lot of our gators have been "too busy". So we haven’t been able to teach all that much. We are really good and talking to people on the streets I must say. But people here are so Atheist.. So lame... I can’t believe that they wouldn’t believe in a God. How do they live..? I bear my testimony about our Loving Heavenly Father all of the time to these people, and I can see most of the time in these peoples eye that they know I’m telling them the truth. Even though they don’t accept a Book of Mormon yet. We are planting seeds!! They will come around!

Anyways, yesterday was fast and testimony meeting. And it was just out of control... we had people sharing their testimonies about our heavenly Mother. And all these weird visions these people have been seeing. And just really weird stuff. It was really interesting, so it was probably a good thing none of our investigators came to church yesterday cause it would have probably scared them off haha, but it was good.

There is a picture of this smaller kid and his name is Lestyn! He’s’ such a cool kid! He’s a less active, but we are working on him! We play ball with him and teach him afterwards. He is an EXACT ENGLISH VERSION OF TAYLOR EGBERT!! Hahaha he is a little smart A. haha hes so funny! He seriously is just like Taylor Egbert, so that’s why I love the kid so much! Haha he’s even ripped like Tay, and laughs like him and makes fun of me like Taylor would haha it’s hilarious!!

The other pictures are just pictures from exchanges I had with my sweet zone leader, Elder Sima! He’s so awesome! We had a good time!

Anyways I love all of you so much! Thank you for all your letters and support!
Cheers from England! ;)

Monday August 27th...

 Ello!

So really quick, this week was sadly really slow... we are trying to get used to taking the buses. So it’s kinda weird ha ha, but we just did a whole bunch of contacting this week and we found a couple of people that we thing might progress! I sure hope so! It’s kinda hard to tell if people here are drunk or not.. because if they are willing to listen and talk to us its most likely because they are drunk. Haha, but we did run into a younger father and kinda taught him on a bench, we gave him a book of Mormon and asked if we could come by and teach him a little bit more and how it can bless him and his families life! He said YES! So we got his address and we will hopefully see him next Sunday! So that was good!

The only really successful days are Sundays it seems like. Yesterday we taught Ben and Len, and a guy named Richard, it went really well! Richard’s dad just died so we taught him the plan of salvation, and he was touched! We watched a dvd with Len, the dvd was elder Holland’s testimony of the book of Mormon, and it was really good! And it goes on explaining a bit more about the book! Len was touched as well! And he really wants to change his life he said, cause he said he knows that what we are teaching him will really change his and his family’s life! So that was really great!  Anyways all is well here in England! Not the numbers I want. But they are coming along!

The picture I sent is just sweet! My sweet planner I made, with the Cornish flag on it! So dope! And the lime green seat! YES!! And a picture of my comp Elder Sparks and me and Michaels mount in the background! (Penzance)

Anyways I love and miss all of you so much!! Hope all is well!!
Cheers! ;)

5 months down!! {& some stories to remember!}

 This week I’m just going to tell you some long stories short, ha ha. Sorry it probably wont be as spiritual. K so here I go.

So we are teaching this lady named Judy, she said she wants to be baptized and everything! It was great at the moment! A couple nights later elder sparks and I were just getting ready to go to bed, then we got a call from Judy. She was mumbling a lot on the phone. She mumbles pretty badly in real life anyways. But it was worse on the phone. And she kept saying she needed us to come over and all this weird stuff. I told her we cant, we have no car, and we just cant anyways. She started getting me attitude and all of the sudden she started yelling and screaming at me on the phone saying she needed help. And her boy friend is getting violent with her and all of this crap. At the moment I was freaking out cause I didn’t know what to do. I was like "Judy call the police" she said they wouldn’t do anything for her. blah blah blah.. After talking on the phone for a while. I just told Judy that we will call the police for her and they will help her. She kept telling us to call the police and then saying not to call the police. She kept changing her mind... so this story can go on and on.. So pretty much it got to a point where it was past 11:00 and I just called the president and asked him what we should do. And just gave us a weird answer saying, " Just do whatever you feel like". Oh well thanks president... ha. So we decided not to call the police cause I knew she was completely drunk. We kept getting calls from her on and off through the night. I was going to the bathroom, and Judy called us again and my comp picked up the phone and it was Judy again, and she was screaming my name " elda kella elda kella!! I need elda kella on the phone now!! " ha.. My comp opened the bathroom door throwing me the phone and he said, "Judy needs you!" Haha I was like Hellllo... she said "elda kella. I trust you, and only you. Help me elda kella.. save me..." haha.. I was like what the flip is going on... I just told her I’m calling the police. I hung up the phone and called the big 999. Haha I told them the situation and told them where she lives. And we went to bed at 2:30.... I was so tired the next day... so yeah Judy is crazy, and we have no baptismal date anymore. So that’s really lame.. And Judy still calls us like 10 times everyday. And we are trying to block her number. She crazy... I felt like was being possessed... ha.

Another long story short... so funny. We had a barn dance a few nights ago. And a lot of member told us that there was a frozen pizza that was in the freezer for us missionaries. I forgot to grab that pizza that night. And last night Brett Jolliffe (member) and sparks and I were driving home from a dinner appointment, we were passing the church, and I forgot I left my rain coat there, so we all went inside to church. There was a live showing goin on last night about the prophet’s birthday or something. And we chilled for a bit. And we were about to leave and Brett remember that there was a pizza for us in the freezer that some elderly members left for us, so Brett and I went in the kitchen to grab the pizza, and Brett was looking through the fridge and couldn’t see anything. He opened this little door thing in the fridge that I guess was the freezer part of it, and he pulled out this white cookie sized frozen circle round thing. And he flipped it around and we realized it was the pizza that was given to us to enjoy. Haha Brett and I were laughing our heads off. I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in my life. Hah you had to have been there to really laugh. It was so funny! Ill tell you the entire story when I get back in more detail, but it was hilarious!! Haha.

Anyways. The work is fun! I’m starting to get the hang of things. I think.. I love my comp. We are having a lot of fun, and trying to teach the world down here in Cornwall Helston!! Haha its great!

I love and miss all of you! HOPE ALL IS WELL!

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON!  The queen told me to tell you guys this. ;)
Cheers all you mates of mine! ;)

{Glimpse of the Olympics, Goodbye Car, Teaching the Plan of Salvation}

Hello!

So this week was a bit crazy! I’m going to make it brief. I have no time! But the whole week has been a bit slow....we traveled up to London to pick up my new comp straight out of the MTC. So I’m training again as you know and it’s been great! This kid Elder Sparks is a stud! He wants to work hard and not be awkward! So this is great! We just handed the keys over to the Bidiford missionaries that stole our car. It was a sad moment. Haha but I’ll be losing weight soon I hope! Ha!

Teaching wise…We haven’t been able to teach many people sadly. The only days that are successful really are Sunday evenings. We visit these people in this tiny village called Mawgan. We visit Ben & Len, the son and father, and this couple named Judee & Mark. We taught all of them The plan of salvation yesterday! I think it was my first time teaching the POS! It went well! They really felt the spirit. I did as well of course! So Judee’s lesson went well, and after judee we went to Ben and Len’s house. Ben answered the door and he was having a hang over. Haha but he invited us in! He was the only one home at that moment, so we just sat in his back garden and started chattin about stuff. Then it started raining so we went inside to his living room, and the TV was on and guess what was on??? THE OLYMPICS BABY!! USA VS SPAIN WITH 6 MINUTES LEFT!!!!  So you know me... I had to see this... and ben was the one that said, "oh lets watch this really fast!!" so I was like heck yes we are! So we watched it and the U.S. won of course! It was so great! I felt super homesick afterwards. Haha but its aight! I got to see at least one event in the whole Olympics for crying out loud!! Haha and it so happened to be Basketball…my favorite!! So after we watched it we started talking about the gospel and book of Mormon. Ben hasn’t read anything yet cause he’s been "busy" but he will he said. Then we starting talking about the plan of salvation, he was amazed on what we had to say! I had these little circle things to explain the POS better. I like visual lessons, so that helped out! Half way through the lesson Len walked in and he sat down and we kinda started over and they both were just shocked and really interested! They had a lot of good questions and a lot of weird and off subject questions. Haha but we managed! ;) When we closed with a word of prayer we started walking out, and I walked outside with Ben and Sparks was way behind me, and Len and sparks starting talking again while I was talking to Ben walking out side, and sparks told me afterwards what Len said to him, and Len told sparks how wonderful we are and how loving we are the them and they really appreciate how much we come over and teach and show love for them and try and strengthen their faith, he went on and started talking about his wife, and how she has kidney stones or something..And sparks!! He said " Len remember that priesthood power we were talking about earlier?" Len said yes and sparks went on saying how we could give her a priesthood blessing and according to their faith all things are possible!! And he asked if she would like a blessing and Len said, "Yes, would you give her a blessing? And I would love one too because I have M.S." so we are going to give them a blessing next time because the wife wasn't home. But isn’t this so awesome!! Wow I’ve trained Elder sparks so well already! ;) Hahah jk. It was all sparks himself!! Haha it was wonderful!!
Then I got talking to Ben and he plays basketball he said, and I invited him to come play ball today and he said he would come!! And we have one other non-member comin!! Its gonna be so fun!!! Ill be dunkin it yo!!

Anyways I love all of you so much! And I hope all is well! Thank you for all of your birthday wishes to me! Love it all!! You are all the BEST!!
Cheers mates! ;)

Called as a trainer for the second time! {Email from Friday, August 10}

Hello everyone...

So...moves were this last Wednesday and I’ve been called to be a trainer again...haha a fresh missionary out of the MTC....holy cow. So much pressure...the kid I’m training is Elder Sparks from Orem UTAH!! Haha what a surprise. He’s a really awesome kid! He’s 6 foot 2. We get along very well already. So we did a lot of traveling the last few days. We drove up to the temple to pick up Sparks and chilled for a bit, then started heading back down to Helston. We spent the night in a city called Poole with some other elders, then got up early and picked up our district leader and continued our journey south west. Haha it was so long. And I’m still trying to recover from driving so much....

So my birthday was great! I actually found out the morning of my birthday that I was going to be a trainer, got a call from President Millar, it was so scary to see that he was calling our mobile phone. So yep he told me that I was called to be a trainer again and I was shocked once again. So I got that call around 7:00am. Then my comp. Elder Stewart made me green pancakes with this really fattening syrup that was also green haha! He put food coloring in all that he made me. He’s such a great guy, that was really nice of him! And in the afternoon we had a Zone conference call telling everyone who’s moving and other news.. And we received the worst news for us helston missionaries... we were told that we are losing the car...I was so mad. You have no idea. I didn’t show it.. But I was so mad inside...Helston is one of the largest areas in the whole mission, and it's all farmland and the buses are terrible here. Haha so now we wont be able to visit at least 4 of out investigators because they live in tiny villages in the middle of nowhere. And we don’t have any reliable members that could come on teaches with us... so we are kinda screwed. And I don’t know how to use the buses. And I’m training. So I hope you guys have a little taste of what I’m going through right now. Haha but it’ll be fine. Ill try and figure stuff out... we might miss out buses once in a while. And might have to walk home from Penzance once in a while which is a 15 mile walk. No big deal.. Just take our car. Haha anyways later that night (on my birthday, just remember) we went to our church for a dinner appointment with the bishop and his family, and the Joliffs, they are so great! They pretty much did a surprise birthday party for me! They are so wonderful! They made me a cake and we had "hot dogs" which were tiny tiny tiny. and pasta! It was great!

Anyways, thank you for all the happy birthday emails! I haven’t read them yet cause I’m only supposed to send this email and call it good till Monday.. So I will respond to your emails on Monday! I love all of you! Keep me in your prayers cause I’m definitely going to need some help. Haha love you all! :)
Cheers! ;)

Birthday Boy! {Quick Letter}

 Ello!

So this week was a bit slow, but first of all, last p-day we played basketball with a less active and his mate, it was really fun! We kinda beat them by a lot and I also dunked it yo! On a 10 foot hoop! I filmed it so I'll try to send it! Haha yes! So yeah that's kinda the excitement of the week. We had a district meeting last Wednesday and my district so kindly bought me a cake for my birthday. As you can see, I ate it...and I'm also getting really fat, ha! So that was nice of them!
The rest of the week was really slow....we got dropped by 3 investigators...3 of our 5...so yeah that sucked. People are glued to their televisions because of the Olympics...no one is ever out on the streets, haha it’s kinda hard right now, but we do a lot of knocking and people just say "sorry! Olympics on!" and slam the door, so that’s what’s it's been like this whole week. Hopefully it will improve this week! Transfers are this Wednesday so I really don’t care if I leave Helston or stay. I feel like I will stay so I will make the best of this next transfer. I’m sorry I didn’t write that much this week. But there wasn’t much to say.

So I love all of you! I hope you’re all continuing having a blast without me! Ha ha.

Cheers! ;)

P.s. I only get to see little bits of the Olympics and I kinda hope I get moved up to London so I can see more! Ha ha.

Bright & Sunny weather brings happy people! {And fun pictures!}

Who says you cant get sunburnt in England! Heck yes! See my tanline on my flipping forehead...yeah son!

Ello!

Wow so this week was crazy..I don’t know where to start…Well last Monday we went to Lands End! It was incredible! I took a million pictures, so I’m gonna send as much as I can! Haha it was really cool! It turns out that I was 5300 miles away from home somethin like that and that’s the closest I’m going to get to home for the next 20 months. Ha ha it was really cool! I got pretty close to some huge cliffs. They are a lot bigger in real life! I planked it on a cliff haha those who know what planking is will get a laugh out of this. But yeah, I planked in on this little point thing on a cliff, it was scary and funny! Later that night we were street contacting (oh by the way the weather is wonderful! I actually got some sun!!) so people were out and about! People are a lot nicer when the weather is nice, so we talked to a lot of people and handed out a lot of copies of the Book of Mormon! It was great! That night 2 girls asked me out!! Hahahaha I was laughing so hard inside...they asked if I had a girlfriend and all these weird questions and I quickly ended the conversation after talking about the restoration…I gave them a pass a long card and left. Little did I know our flippin number was on that card I gave them!!!!!!! Uhh...so yeah. They called our phone over 10 time and text us quite a few times. We didn’t answer or anything, but they were drunk, ha ha.

Anyways, when it comes to missionary work, it’s been getting better and better! Since it’s summer and we get to see our wonderful bright sun, people are nice and receptive! We did some contacting on the beach in Penzance and we gave away 4 copies of the BOM in less then an hour! It was great! We met a lot of people from everywhere around the world!! It was so cool! Unfortunately we didn’t meet any Americans, haha, but a lot of Australians and Italians! Cool! We haven’t been able to see a few of out investigators this week cause the weather is so great and people are out and about....so we had a few people cancel on us......... lame, but we will see them again. So hopefully we will be able to teach some more people this week!

Planking...

So quick story…this is kinda for the Hale family like Jasmine and her husbandy Skyler! So we had a dinner ap. a few days ago with this family of 2 boys and a married couple obviously, the boy’s names are Ben and Arron Hall. Arron is a RM. and served in Manchester! So while we were waiting in the living room I saw a picture on their wall with a group of missionaries, I got off the couch to just look at it. I realized I saw someone that looked really familiar. This darker skinned chap..Haha I remembered that Skyler served in England but I didn’t know what mission. So I asked Arron "who is this kid? He looks familiar” he said, "His name is Skyler" I didn’t remember skyler’s name at the time until he told me. Haha I was like "oh my gosh that’s my new cousin!" haha I knew it was him! I just couldn’t remember his name! So we had a nice chat about him, he was an AP!! Wow...no wonder uncle Jer said he could marry in the family. Haha! He’s a cool kid! So yeah I took some pictures of the picture I saw! I’ll send it after I’m done writing this cause I already sent too many haha so yeah that was a funny story! (see pic below)

Arron and I holding the picture of Skyler that was on their wall (he brought it to church the next day)

Anyways! I’m about to go play basketball with my new basketball my mum sent to me! ;) I’m so pumped! Were going to play with some English mates yo!  Yeeaahh!!

I love you all and hope all is well!!

Cheers!! :)
