July 23, 2012---Awesome Letter!

Hey everyone,

I don’t have much time. So really quick, this week was amazing! It had its ups and downs. Last Monday night we taught Julian and his wife Becky! They have 2 young babies. They are great! They don’t really know what church is actually true. So we teach them the Restoration a lot! Cause obviously they can relate to Joseph Smith! So we are going to teach them tonight with a member named Bret again, he’s an awesome guy too he’s 28 years old and is hilarious! So Bret taught them a lot last week and he bore his testimony about the book of Mormon and how our families can live together forever! It was emotional and the spirit was present! ;) So I’m praying so hard that that family will be baptized! Cause they are so great and I love them!

During the rest of the week. We didn’t have too much success..We did get 2 new investigators, last Tuesday! Which was amazing! Then nothing too much happened the rest of the week until last night! Wow! So long story short, we went and visited 2 different potentials that lived in this village in the middle of nowhere. And we almost just didn’t visit them/drop them, but we decided to go visit these 2 different families one last time, cause we’ve been trying to see these people for 2 months and they were never home or they were "ill"... so we knocked on the first potentials door named Mark and Judee. Mark said they didn’t have enough time to talk to us. But Judee looked at him like he was stupid. Ha ha and she said "mark of course we have enough time to talk to these guys about the bible." haha so mark was like okay come in...ha ha YES!! So we sat down got to know them, and they have been struggling spiritually. They don’t really like the church that they are going to now. Cause the people are not supportive. blah blah.. And I was so pumped cause our ward is the best and they would love our ward! So we taught them the restoration and about the book of Mormon obviously and they were just so willing to listen and asked great questions, and we just had the spirit with us! It was so great then we watched the book of Mormon DVD that we hand out to people with them, it was only 12 minutes long. And after that they were just shocked, and they asked for a book of Mormon! HAHA! YES!!! So yes we will see them next Sunday!! And they said they WILL read and pray! :) So happy!
Okay and then. The other potentials that we were going to see right after mark and judee, k so we knocked on there door for like the 12 time in 2 months and they finally let us in!! The guy that we were trying to see was named Len, and his son was the one that answered the door and his name is Ben.. Haha he’s about 21 years of age. So he invited us in and we went in their back garden and just sat down and started talking with Ben and Len! It was great! We had a lot of laughs and just got to know each other! It was great! So after 2 flippin hours of talking. Ha ha I finally told them why we are here at their home and what we do and what we invite them to do! They were all ears, but Ben doesn’t believe in God. He believes in Energy...... so he was willing to listen to us. So we taught the Restoration again. Haha and ben had a lot of great questions as well! Len as well again. Haha so it all just made sense to them! I quoted the first vision to them and their eyes were just glowing! After I was done sharing my testimony about the restoration they were blown away! And Ben asked for a book of Mormon! (2 people just ASKED for a Book of Mormon! heck yes) and I shared moronis promise with him, I had ben read it and after he read it I asked what he felt and what stood out to him, and he said the meat of the verse! Have pray with a sincere heart with real intent having faith is Jesus Christ and you will know the truthfulness of the Holy Ghost. He said all of that! And he said he’s feeling something that he doesn’t really feel, I asked what does it feel like, and he said it’s hard to explain, I told him that was the spirit working through him. And he said oh my gosh I know! Haha it was so awesome! Then I told him the spirit is hard to explain to people, cause it’s just so wonderful! I used the analogy that GREAT SCOTT told me, "well what does salt taste like?" haha perfect dad! I asked them that questions and how it’s relevant on how to explain the spirit. They totally agreed! It was such a wonderful experience you guys. I love being a servant my savior, and I know that we are literally instruments in his hands. I witnessed that last nigh and it was an experience I will not forget. I later asked told them about baptism and the atonement, and how they could be reborn again and kind of have a restart in there lives, being forgiven of there sins, they really were interested in that! ;) So next Sunday hopefully we will have a few baptismal dates! :)

So real quick on the pictures. The 2 studs with the union jack onezees! Are the AP's! I love them so much! Haha they are hilarious! They spent the night at our flat on Saturday night and they and pres. & sister Millar were coming to our ward! I was so scared cause was giving a lesson the next day! It went well but was very scary with the ap's listening to the lesson. Haha, so yeah Sunday was a great day! Our new president is an awesome guy! And sister Millar is the most kind lady ever! I love them already!

Ello!

So this week was cool! We did go finding a lot! We have a few more investigators, FINALLY!!! And we are visiting them on a weekly bases. So that’s great! But no baptismal dates set yet. We will commit one of out gators tonight! His name is Julean! He’s an awesome guy! And we have a member coming with us to teach him tonight so I’m super pumped! Yesterday we went and visited one of our potentials. And when he opened his door he welcomed us inside! It through me off guard cause this stuff never happens. Haha so it was sweet! We thought him the restoration and some of the Plan of Salvation and he is very interested! We read the whole introduction page with him and he really enjoyed it! It all makes sense to him so he wants us to come by next week and teach him more!! Miracles happen baby!! So heck yes!

This week we had 2 exchanges, one with the zone leaders, and the other one was with my boy Elder Bailey! He’s an English man from up north; we really get along and have fun! When we had the exchange with the zone leaders we had to drive an awful lot. When we exchanged back I had to drive all the way to Plymouth to pick up my comp. And back to Helston in one day, with terrible weather. That took pretty much the whole day. Haha the other exchange with Bailey was cool, I went to his area (Red Ruth, none as Chav City) and I went on a double decker bus for the first time! It was so cool! We sat on top right up front! No one was on the bus! Haha so we had fun! That day we visited a young family, on our way to their house we ran into that family on the street.. We were thinking, do we still have that appointment? Sarah the mother said “oh yeah we will be back in 15 minutes.” So we decided to go knocking while waiting for Sarah and her family to get back. We came back to her house later and no one answered, we then went and knocked some more doors and came back to Sarah’s house and no one answered. ha-ha so bailey dusted off his feet at her from door and we walked away..Soon after we ran into Sarah again. Haha we asked her again if we were still going to come over, she looked really annoyed and said "yes... come in...." hehe! :) We went in and tried to teach her kids. Their was 3 kids ages 10 8 and 4. Cute kids, haha they were funny as well. So Sarah was just doing other things while we were just sitting there waiting for her to sit down so we could teach her and her family. Haha it was an awkward 10 minutes just watching her walk around the house..So she finally sat down and was willing to listen. She had a bunch of questions about why God lets bad things happen on this earth if he loves us so much. We taught her about how God gave us our agency. So it just leads to bad things in this world, and God isn’t going to force us to live the way he wants us to. So we taught her that, and the plan of salvation. She was very interested! So she went from being annoyed that we were at her house to humbling herself and was willing to listen to us and she was very receptive! It was sweet. I bore my testimony about the Book of Mormon and how the gospel has blessed my life and my family, and Bailey bore his testimony as well and the spirit was just with us all that evening, and I know Sarah felt the spirit. She said she would read the book of Mormon and really pay attention to what it teaches and that she will pray to know the truthfulness of it. :)
It was a great experience. But too bad she’s not in my area. Haha :(

Ps. The picture of me and sunglasses and lookin like a fool.. Yeah bailey said that I looked like the matrix guy. Haha so I’m dodging a bullet that’s all. Haha lookin fresh!
Cheers to all of you!  I love you all so much!! :)

Oyee!!

So this week was crazy! Its been a little over a week for me to train. Its some hard work let me tell you... I still need to be trained. I don’t understand why I’m a trainer, cause I’m still a greenie. Haha but yeah its pretty hard cause this kid is seriously the complete opposite of me. But I’m trying to love him and get to know him.. He’s a good kid though; he’s from Spanish fork if I didn’t tell you guys.

So this week we had a conference to meet out new mission president, Pres. Millar, he’s a good guy. I didn’t get to say anything to him but he’s cool as well as his wife, she’s from Preston England, she helped a lot with the Preston Temple while it was being built. I think she said she was the first person to do baptisms for the dead in that temple. So that’s cool. Before they came they lived in St. George, really cool people!
At the conference I saw my boy Elder Josh Smith!! He’s just came in the field and we chilled with each other, love that kid, it was exciting to see him! The other picture is our A.P. elder Simmons, he’s a baller, I love that kid to death, he’s an unbelievable missionary, he’s way powerful as well as the other A.P. I’m really close with the aps they are just so awesome I wish I could be like them.. Haha it was also the 4th of July.... and Guess what we did???!!!!!! nothing........So lame... haha I forgot it was the forth of July until I saw an American flag at a school near by our flat. Haha so we got a picture of it, I look like a tool. Haha but oh well!  I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!!!

We had a few miracles happen this week! So here in helston it’s really hard to get people to accept a book of Mormon, the time I’ve been here our average of handing out book of Mormons was like maybe 2 a week... yeah pretty bad. But this week we gave out 7!!! And they are solid people!! Last a week ago we had a comp prayer and goals we set to find NORMAL PEOPLE. Haha sounds rude but its true. The investigators we had before were just weird and had some kind of metal problem or something. So we prayed to find normal people and we received an answer to our prayers! We found 2 young families that are searching for the truth! We will see one of them tonight, and the other one next Sunday! And the other ones are just investigating that really appreciated the book of Mormon!! So heck yes!! Doin’ work down here in the promised land of Cornwall Helston!! Haha
Our ward is very old... we only have 3 families that are pretty young, the rest are all 65 years and up. Haha so we need younger families! And we found a few!! So excited!! Now I need to actually focus on how to teach the Plan of Salvation, cause we've never really gotten passed the restoration... haha!

Cheers!  I love you all!! :)

Ello!

So I’m a trainer, as most of you know. And it’s some serious work. I’m not gonna lie, its pretty hard for me. But it’s going to be an incredible learning experience. The kid I’m training is Elder Stewart, he is from Spanish fork Utah, we have absolutely nothing in common other then we are from Utah. So its gonna be an interesting 6 weeks...he’s a good kid though. So my other companion Elder Romer is now a zone leader in London, that didn’t surprise be because he’s just brilliant. So my zone leader (elder sima) and I drove together to the London temple to pick up out new companions. We took a few pictures and we were off. While we were at the temple I actually saw one of my high school buddies Elder Josh Smith, he is a greenie as well, and I was hoping I was going to train him so badly! But nope. So sad. We were so close! But he was extremely happy to see me! Haha and I was extremely happy to see him as well! Haha it was cool! After that we headed on back to the south west of the UK. Elder Stewart and I didn’t get home till 1:00am... we also had to take some sister missionaries down to there new area. It was a long drive with the sisters. They were so loud... haha i was driving the whole time and i was just about to drive us into a wall because the sisters were so hyper. Haha it was great though.... that morning we got to sleep in, so that made up for all the annoyingness.. :)
So since elder steward and I have been here together we have given out at least one book of Mormon a day! So that’s awesome! In the last 4 days we've given out 6! That’s really good for how slow everything has been down here! Its good!
So yeah I’m trying to learn how to train and help this guy out as much as I can! And he’s helping me out as well! The work is hard, but I’m still climbing the latter! :)

Cheers! Hope all is well! I love you all!
Ps: I’m sorry if I couldn’t email some of you back…I had no time. I’m so sorry!

Quick Update from June 28th! {Sorry for the lack of posting!}

Hey Everyone!

So just very quickly.....ummm so we had moves yesterday...and I just got called to be a flippin' Trainer..... yeah! I was NOT expecting that. So yep I am a trainer. I'm kinda flippin out cause I'm still a new missionary, not knowing exactly what to do, so I'm trippin haha. The kid I'm training is Elder Stewart! He's a great kid and from Utah and is Republican! So that's good! But I dont think he plays sports, so I'll be gettin fat...He's a really nice kid and I'm excited to get to know him more!
I'm emailing right now because Elder Stewart wasn't able to email on Monday, so I get to hurry and tell you guys what's goin on! So yeah I had to drive all the way to London and pick up my new comp and drive all the way back to Plymouth in one day. It was like a 12 hour drive altogether, haha I'm super tired. Another cool thing is that we are getting a new car!!! Heck yes! Our other car was pretty old, but we are very lucky to have a car! We are the only missionaries that have a car that aren't zone leaders or A.P.'s! So we are blessed. haha.

Anyways that's the update from the last few days! I'll email you guys back on monday!!
I love all of you!! Cheers! :)

3 months down!

Ello everyone!

This will be a short email for once...So this week was different. Monday we had a Zone p-day and it was actually fun! We played football and these weird games that the sisters came up with. It was interesting. We had a zone pday because we were all going up to the temple! For us in Helston it was a 6 hour drive. It was so long. We planned to go -up there because it was President Shamos last week since he's going home. It was a great conference, but I didn't really know president that well, so it wasn't that sad for me to say goodbye to him. So we went through the Temple and it was wonderful as usual! I LOVE being in the House of the Lord! It's so wonderful! I learn something knew every time I go there. It was a little difficult because I've been really sick the first few days of this last week, so during the session I was dying cause I wasn't feeling well, but somehow I learned a few things! HA HA. While we were up there I met alot of missionaries that I haven't met before. I got to know a lot of them and they all asked me where I'm from, blah blah blah, and what area I'm from, I told them Helston...When they heard that I was a greenie in Helston they all said "Really? all greenies that served in Helston later became either a Zone leader or an A.P." haha I was like oh! well I'll be the first greenie out of Helston that won't be one of those leaders! Haha so yeah, a lot of pressure is on me to become a zone leader or an A.P!
So when we got home from London, I had to stay in bed for a couple days. I was very ill and had a really bad cold, headaches, etc. So I chilled for a couple days. I wasn't too happy, but I'm back and knocking now like a normal healthy missionary!
This week we were visiting a member, and we had only been in her living room for about 5 minutes talking to her, and all of the sudden someone walked in her front door. It was her nephew and he walked in holding this rubbish bag and in it looked like a rifle or something. He reached in the bag and pulled out the OLYMPIC TOURCH!! He was one of the runners and he ran through Penzance! It was a real one! It was way cool and I even got to hold it! So I feel pretty satisfied from the last time I had an opportunity to hold the tourch a few weeks ago. I got a few pictures with it, itt was great!
Yesterday I had to say goodbye to one of our zone leaders, Elder Carter, is one of my favorite missionaries. He's such a stud! He's going home back to Cali, I'll miss him! I tried making german pancakes again, and I failed as you can see from that picture I sent you, I dont know what I did wrong, but it tasted like rubbish. So mom will have to help me out!

MOVES are this Wednesday!! I'm super pumped to get a new comp! I'm so ready to lead this area and I have a car and the best area in all the U.K.!! So hopefully I'll get a comp that is a little more sporty like, cause I want to have conversations about sports instead of Switzerland and boring stuff, haha no I love Elder Romer. He trained me well.

I LOVE YOU ALL!! Hope all is well! I'm having a blast!

Cheers! :)

Hello!

So this week was cool, last monday we went to Truro! It's pretty much the only city in Cornwall. They had a lot of shopping areas and a huge Cathedral. We were able to go inside of it and it was sketchy. I was kinda scared being in there. Man i love our Temples, much more peaceful and spiritual. That day we just walked around and enjoyed the sun! I bought a lime green soccerball and a Cornesh flag!! T
That monday night we went knocking in a tiny village in Godolphin. We knocked on many doors and no success at all.. i knocked on one of our last doors for the day and this elderly woman aswered the door and looked at me and said "Friends??..!" I was like... "Yep! we are your friends! We want to share a message with you about the Book of Mormon!" she smiled and said "oh yes please come in!" So we did and we sat down and she gave us orange juice and some snacks.. she was really sweet, we got to know her and she loves animals and stuff...So when we were able to finally teach her after getting to know her for like an hour, we taught her the Restoration of course, and when we taught her she was just crying the whole time, it was great! She kept saying she feels so good inside and so was I! she loved listening to us! I gave her the Book of Mormon and asked her if she would read and pray about this book and ask Heavenly Father if its true, and she just kept crying and said "well I already know it's true!" It was awesome! When she realized I was actually giving the book to her she just started crying even more cause she was so grateful that we were giving her a free book. Ha ha. She promised she would read it "everyday". It all made sense to her and she just loved the message! She kept saying how gorgeous we were...haha. And also how grateful she was that we knocked on her door. She said she loves us so much as if we were her own kids. Ha ha. She is an 86 year old woman and she is so awesome! She kept saying how wonderful our parents are and said "Oh I just know that your parents are just so wonderful because they raised such wonderful boys that are willing to go out and knock on peoples doors to be their friends and teach them about Jesus Christ!" She just kept going on and on with these wonderful comments about us and our families. It was a wonderful experience!
Five days ago we were on exchanges. I went to Red Ruth's area with another greeny (new missionary) so it was 2 brand new missionaries together. We were a little sketched, haha. We visited a few people and the missionary didn't know what to do or say half the time. So I was teaching the whole time pretty much.. haha it was great though because i learned alot about being prepared! Funny quick story: so we were on the bus, there was only about 6 people on this big bus. We sat behind this couple, a huge black guy and his lady friend. It was quiet until we stopped and picked up this one guy and the guy we picked up looked stoned. He sat kinda next to us and when he sat down he just started singing really loud in an african language. It was really awkward and annoying...ha ha I heard the black guy in front of us making fun of him, ha ha so we had to hear this guy sing for about 20 minutes with no one on the bus really. When our stop came we got up as well as the singing guy and when he stood up his whole butt was hanging out of his pants and when the black guy saw it he just threw his hands up in the air and said "AAAHHHH!!! come on!!! man!!" and smiled and looked back at me like are you serious man. We both laughed and said a couple of things and we got off the bus. Ha ha. It was funny. I don't know if this all made sense but it was funny! I filmed the guy singing for a little bit so I'll show you guys when I get home. :)
Well I wish I had more time to tell you about my week! A lot of sweet things happened! I witnessed the spirit so strongly in a teach during that one exchange I had, it was a feeling in my heart that I've never experienced in my life before. I felt so prompted to share a message about prayer with this one less active lady, and when I shared it, it just seemed like it was a perfect message she needed to hear, and she even said thank you so much for that message. It was the exact message I needed to hear, and she was teary eyed! :) It was a wonderful feeling I had that I will never forget! Anyways I gotta go play some ball! We're going to the temple tomorrow! It's my last conference with our current mission president! It's gonna be a sad day!

I love all of you thanks for all your support!
cheers!

Love Elda Kella! ;)

A quick letter & some good pictures...

In the picture of Elder Romer and I, we were wearing our ugliest ties. The one I'm wearing is his tie...very ugly. So I challenged him to wear my ugliest tie, he did. We wore these ties when we went up to Zone Conference. It was the last conference with President Shamo because they are going home in a couple of weeks. When the meeting started, Pres Shamo started talking and then he looked at me and stopped talking and said, "Elder Keller.. That is the ugliest tie I have ever seen." Hahahaha it was so funny! Everyone started laughing and gave me crap for the rest of the day. So yeah that was funny. The other pictures are just places where we were doing come contacting. It was pretty cool. We actually taught some people on the big wall we were standing on. Anyways, sorry if it sounds like I'm being rushed, it's because I am.

I LOVE ALL OF YOU SO MUCH!! CHEERS !!!! :)

Basketball Win for an Appointment!

Ello!!

So this week was pretty cool! As you see from the pictures I sent you, we went to the beach last p-day. It was awesome! It was cloudy, but still warm. We played football and had a BBQ on the beach! It was sweet! I stood on a big rock and got splashed...haha the water was freezing. It was a fun day!

Throughout the week we had a couple exchanges. I was with Elder Sima one day (the black kid), and Elder Bailey. Elder Sima is from Botswana, and Bailey is from Northern England. It was pretty fun being with them. Elder Sima is my favorite, he is so funny! He is exactly like Chancy. We had a good exchange that day...The kid can hand out copies of the Book of Mormon like it's nobody's business...He's crazy! I learned a lot from him. Elder Bailey has only been out for 2 weeks, so I had the opportunity to kind of train a kid for a day, haha it was a lot of fun! We had a lot of laughs. We filmed ourselves singing "I'll make a man out of you," while we were driving, and it was hilarious. Our investigator John came to church yesterday and it was great! I taught a class about Prophets and John really liked it, so that's good. The 3 hours we were at church, John smoked 4 times, and he was only supposed to smoke 6 total yesterday, so I kind of feel like he has been lying to us about following the calendar we gave him. Hopefully he is not lying...I was kind of upset yesterday about that, but I have faith.

We were proselyting on the beach, which I thought was cool! I don't remember if I told you guys this, but I found a full size basketball court outside on the beach! I was like ummm yes....My prayers have been answered, especially the fact that there was a group of guys playing! I felt the spirit of course, so I had to go talk to these guys, and so I did. I went up to them and said,"Hey guys, we're missionaries," etc., and I told them that I'm American and I've been dying to play basketball. They asked me if i was good and I said I'm alright, so they said "Alright mate! Come by on Wednesday and we'll see how good you are" Hahahah HECK YES!!! So I pretty much set up a fun fun fun appointment by playing ball with these guys! I said "Lets make a deal, if I beat you guys on wednesday, you have to listen to what my companion and I have to say about this wonderful book called The Book of Mormon," and they smiled and said alright. They were kinda cocky, but i was watching them play and they were not good at all, haha :) So I'm pumped to teach these guys on Wednesday! I gave them a pass along card and peaced out! Yess!!! I know the Lord will help me that day droppin triples! Haha I haven't played since I left home, so we'll see how it  goes.

A few days ago we were studying one morning and the Bishop called and asked us to run to a members house asap and give this little old lady a blessing because she was not feeling well. So we jumped right up and went over and the lady looked and acted perfectly fine...She was the happiest I've ever seen her so i was a little confused. We talked to her for a while and asked how she was and she was smiling saying she was just fine, but a little ill. Later on we gave her a blessing. I did the annointing and Romer gave her the blessing. It was really cool, but a little confusing.

Anyways.. I'm loving England! I'm starting to warm up with the people down here! I learn so much everyday. I love all of you so much and I hope everything is going well! Cheers! :)
P.s. A lot of people down here think I look like Cusco off of Empirer's New Groove, and they also think I look like Tom Cruise.....

Sports, Sacrament Talk & Temptation!

Hello Everyone!!

So this week was kinda crazy!  Last p-day we were actually able to play soccer! We played with some english guys and they kicked butt..I thought i was good until i played with these guys. After, we played soccer we decided to play basketball....hahaha yes... so when we played basketball it was the other way around.. i kicked there butt :) it was really fun!
The next day we had a full day planned and there was an emergency. We needed to go pick up a member that moved down here from Northern England. We picked up this guy named Amine from another member in our ward. He was from Iran. we had to pick him up and help him get a job and get him some food and all of his stuff, so pretty much we babysat him the whole day. We got to know him and as I said he was from Iran, so i had a lot of questions for him.. so long story short about Amine-He was a writer back at home, he was engaged, not a member of our church yet, and lived in a big house. the book he was writing was about muslems, and what they do.. the muslems did not like what he was writing, so they have been trying to kill him. he has been chased around in Iran for a while and hes almost been kidnaped several different times. So one day he just ran north, left everything behind him, because he was being hunted and would be killed if they ever see him. So he lives in England, ran into some missionaraies  5 months ago and was baptized. He loves the Gospel and he said it has saved his life. He's a wonderful lad. He's 28 years old and is homeless and now is living with the Halls, a wonderful couple in our ward. And hes doing great. I feel so bad for him though.. but somehow he smiles more than you think he would. Crazy!!! I was all scared while we were with him that whole day, i was afraid we were going to get shot or something..
Anyways...We had a conference for all of the district and zone leaders up by the Temple... yeah for us it was a 7 hour drive.. I'm still car sick, we were gone for about 3 days. we slept over in other Elder's flats and had a blast talking all night and laughing our heads off! the conference was wonderful! I learned a lot about leadership skills! Heck yes I'll be the next AP!! haha just playin.. but it was great! Elder Jenson of the seventy came and spoke for a couple hours.. it was so long and actually hot! It's finally summer here! He gave us great advice, but i cant really remember anything specific that he said right now to tell you.. but it was great once again and I took notes! He was a scary man though.. but also wonderful! :)
Yesterday was Sunday! On friday night the bishop called and asked me to give a talk.. I was freakin out cause i didnt know what to do, he said i could talk about anything I wanted! I calmed down and remembered that I have my farewell talk with me to help me out a little :) so that was easy, ha ha I did mix it up a lot! I added a lot more in the talk and I did not read word for word. If you guys do not remember what my talk was about it was about the Atonement.. haha i shared my basktball shorts story on how i lost the shorts and I prayed and my prayer was answered instantly. haha it was great! The Stake Pres. was there.. so no pressure for me.. after my meeting the Stake Pres. jumped up and gave me a hug and told me how well i did, as well as my Bishop. He said the talk was beautiful, ha ha. So a lot of people in the ward told me how well i did, so i felt really really good. Until one brotheren came up to me and said "one day you'll know how to give a talk elder, one day you will.." haha that was sad for me, but still one after another came up to me and told me how well i did, even a couple of ladies gave me a hug, they just told me how much they love me, it was wonderful. Oh and in my testimony i just expressed a lot of love I have for our ward, so I think thats why i got the hugs. haha i know we arent supposed to hug...the ladies even knew that, but they did anyways.. haha that evening my zone leader called me and said "keller! i heard you gave a wonderful talk!" I said how did you know I gave a talk? and he said "the stake pres called me and the first thing he said was that elder keller gave a wonderful talk" and also that I am a powerful missionary, and some othere wonderful comments. This really made me feel so great because I've been lacking confidence in myself and that day with all of those nice comments really helped me! :)

One more quick story...We were just starting our jouney home from the Temple area. I was driving with Elder Carter (the zone leader) and we were at a red light and elder carter said "keller do not look behind us" so I didn't. And next thing you know, a car pulls  up right next to us and it was a car full of girls. They were the hottest girls I've seen since ive left home.. hahaha they were kinda immodest.. but their faces were actually cute. For once I've seen a cute girl in England!! haha so i looked over at them and smiled and they rolled down their window and tried talking to us...So Elder Carter told me to give them a pass along card, haha I was like no problem! I pulled out a card and right when i opened the door elder Carter floored it and drove away from them yelling "TEMPTAION TEMPTATION TEMPTAION!!" HAHAHA  it was so so funny!! Then soon enough we were at another red light and they were next to us again and they were trying to get our attention, but i was thinking of my mission instead.... :) Ya know me! ;) hahaha.

Anyways I love you all so much! I miss you guys like crazy and I hope all is well back at home! Cheers! :)

The Olympic Torch visited Helston, England!

Ello mates!

So this week was up and down i must say.. Down, because all we did was knocking pretty much.. and it got really old really fast.. But it was fun in a lot of ways. Up, because we have a couple new investigators, Elizabeth, Harry and Jaquee. We got these investigators by knocking so it was worth it. We taught them all the first lesson and they are pretty interested! So its great! With John.. We visited 2 days ago and we got chatting and we asked how his addictions were, and he said not very well.. He said he bought another magazine... I smiled and said, "John... do you have another black rubbish bag?" haha. He looked at me and said, "yeessssss......." and slowly got up and grabbed a bag, went in his room and came back in the living room and gave me the bag with a couple magazines in it.. haha I thought that was awesome how he just got straight up and gave up his bad magazines right away. haha it was great! He really does want to change and this last appointment with him went really well, so we are extending a date for him to be baptized on the 17th of june. Here, they get baptized on sundays.. i think its because a lot of people would be there to watch i guess.. but yeah, John is great! We also are making a calendar for him so it will help him quit smoking, the smoking calendar is limiting a few cigarettes a day for him. So he just needs to follow the calendar that we are making him.. ha ha.

Saturday the olympic torch came through the promise land of Helston, baby!! it was so cool! There was so many people in the streets that morning! We sat around waiting for the parade for about 2 hours.. we ran into some Swiss people so my companion talked to them for a while, while i was just standing  there awkwardly.. anyways there was a bus that came driving by and dropped off an Olympian lady, she was all by herself with the golden torch, we then realized that she was waiting for the other torch that was lit and they were going to pass the flame to her, so we were in the right place at the right time! So i got a few pictures of that! Before the flame came i was about to take a picture with the lady holdind the torch, i was so close from getting a picture with her, but right when i was asking her the other flame was coming up the street so we couldnt.. i was so mad!! That would have been in the front page of the Ensign, I know it would have! A missionary holding an olympic tourch with one of the athletes next to me. Oh man that would have been cool, but i failed.. anyways that day was really fun! i have a ton of pictures of that day but they won't send.. so I'll send them all to mom or dad or steph and they will have to resend them to all of you alright? I also sent dad a video from my itouch of the torch, so ask him to send that to you.

That saturday we did some service for some other investigators, we cut down trees and had a huge fire! it was crazy! It took so long to get the fire started, but my Swiss companion somehow got it started after a while of trying. I was trying to feed the fire to keep it going you know, and i got too close and burnt myself.. haha it was funny tho, and i also realized that i burnt my favorite t-shirt I was wearing, and it also burnt my garments... so... this is awkward... i also took a picture of that, so ask steph for the pictures.

Anyways I love all of you so much! I think about you all everyday even though i shouldn't.. But I'm still a greeny missionary they like to say.. but I'm having a lot of fun! Cheers Mates!

Mother's Day Skype Week...May 14th Letter!

This was my Mom's "Favorite Mother's Day!" Nothing better than getting to skype with your Missionary! It was so great to see his smiling face & to personally get to see & talk with him for a little over an hour. We also got to meet his companion! Jax is showing us his calendar book with "SKYPE" scheduled in on Sunday, May 13th!

Pictures & Letters from Elder Keller the day after Mother's Day!

Ello!

Yesterday was awesome as we all know because it was Mother's Day!! I was able to see you guys obvioulsy and it was so fun to see all of you! all of the grandchildren are already changing.. haha its going to be crazy when i get home and see all of them and see how much they've changed.. as well as additions in the fam! I hope Mom had a wonderful Mother's Day! I love her so much!
This week was really cool! it actually went by pretty fast.. which is odd, cause days never go by fast. haha but we had a lot of fun because we actually stayed busy and had a lot of appointments all lined up. so its always fun when you have people to see rather then just knocking all day. we had a ton of dinner appointments with a whole bunch of members, which is awesome because its amazing food, and not so awesome because i eat so much and im getting FAT as i told all of you yesterday.. and you also saw that i was getting fat.. so thats no good... we had a D.A. with the Halls, and the pictures i sent you with me my companion and the darker skinned guy, yeah hes brother Hall, and we are in his backyard (garden).. it was incredible. It just happened to be a really sunny warm day for once when we were able to see the ocean. earlier that day we had some lunch with 2 recent converts, one of them was less active but were working on him, but we ate lunch with them in Penzance on the beach that sunny day. It was awesome just chillin on the beach in England with no rain or wind, it felt really nice. And of course we ate a fattening lunch.. KFC... so yeah i just got even fatter just by thinking of that..
The other picture is of me and elder Tomilson. We were on exchange that day so we thought it was funny to take a picture on a bench looking out into the ocean once again. That part of the ocean was on the opposite side of the Halls beach, so we see the ocean a lot, it seems like were on a smaller island..but its awesome!
Anyways.. that was pretty much my week.. i sure love and miss all of you guys! It was so awesome to see all of you yesterday on Moms special day!! I LOVE ALL OF YOU!!!!!! Cheers Mates! :)

Here is a "LEGIT London Mini Cooper!" Jax said he thinks of me every 5 minutes because he see's a Mini ever 5 minutes, ha ha. These are definitely the official London mini coops!

Another Week Down!

In this picture, Jaxon & his companion walked through this cemetery, and it reminded him of Michael Jackson's "Thriller," so he pulled a Thriller dance move, ha ha.

Hey Mates!!

This week was a little crazy!! all this week we had pretty much zero success.. we knocked on so many doors.. my legs are killing me.. haha! the only investigators we had were phil and vilna as i have told you before, and we were about to go visit them, so we called to make sure it was okay for us to come over to their house and teach them. Vilna picked up the phone and sounded really angry for some reason.. which she never is angry. She's always really really nice and happy.. so she told us its not a good idea for us to come over because phil and vilna are going through a separation.... i was so upset because they were the coolest people ever.. they said to call them in a few weeks to see how things are going and hopefully theyll figure everything out.. i was so sad because i looked forward to visiting them every monday night.....
the last few days have been wonderful because the sun decided to do its job and make me warm and happy.. haha i realized when the sun is out and we actually see the blue sky that people are a lot happier and smiley, we went knocking on a sunny day and everyone that spoke to us was really nice, they didnt want to hear our message but they actually wanted to get to know us, which was rare because people here are really careless usually. a couple days ago when it was sunny again we were walking up to this house, and while we were walking up to the door we heard the tv, it was really loud and it was obvious that it was a football match going on. i knocked on the door and it was this trashier looking man smoking a fag :) (cigarette). he opened the door and opened his eyes really wide and smiled and said "aw, you know where im at lads! its the chelsea & liverpool match!" i laughed and said oh who's winning, and he said who do you think..? like i was stupid.. haha and i just said chelsea?? and he said youre right on mate!! and we laughed and i said go chelsea and he was really happy that he thought i was a chelsea fan.. even though i like man U! I'd get shot out here if people knew i liked manchester united.. haha but we left his home by me giving him a card and he was really happy we talked to him. after we knocked on his neighbors door they didnt answer, as soon as we were walking away from the door that chesea fan guy opened his door again and yelled at me and said im so sorry mate, i didnt mean to be rude mate, and he asked us if we would want to watch the game with him. i was like HECK YES!!!! and my companion was like no........ ugh.. it could have been a great excuse to watch a football match cause we would have watched it with an "investigator present".. haha but its  okay.. it was fun though!!

Yesterday we were just knocking again, and we got a call from an elder in out district elder johnson, he had a referral for us. the referral happened to be in the area we were just in, in that very moment, elder johnson met this guy at a bus stop, he wanted to be taught again, he was once taught  by missionaries a year ago and it just fell apart. but anyways he wanted to be taught again, so Elder Romer and i called this guy, his name is John, he wanted us to go over to his house right away, we do so. when we sat down in his living room we started talking to him just to get to know him and stuff. he told us that him and his mom got in a car accident that morning and his mom had to be rushed to the hospital, she turned out to be okay, just a bump on the head and some bruises. he said he couldnt believe that she didnt have serious injuries because the car was completely crushed on her side. thats what made him want to be taught by the missionaries again, thats what made him believe in God again. i told him that the Lord was watching out for him and his mother, and there is a reason why we are here with you today. he got a little emotional and said yes i know. im happy you guys are here. he told us he wants to change his life around, he had many addictions, drugs, pornography etc... once that was brought up he asked me if i had a garbage bag.. i said no.. why?.. and he said "oh i wanted you to take all my porn away from me, i wanted you guys to throw it all away for me." haha i was like yeah... and the subject changed. we watched a book of mormon dvd with him, we all felt the spirit, john really wanted to change and be baptized, he said a year ago he was taught all the lessons and he just wanted to be baptized as soon as possible, he knew he had to change his life before baptism, and thats what he's doing rIght now! we prayed with him and shared some scriptures with him, and he said he'll read the book of mormon everyday and pray before and after he reads. that was my advice to him to help him understand the book of mormon. hes a committed guy! we were about to leave his home and i remembered what he said about taking his magazines away.. i asked him if he had a garbage bag, he said yes..... so i said do you want us to take away your magazines?.. he said yes. he grabbed a big black garbage bag and went in his room and put all the stuff in it and gave it to me. it was like 10 pounds of magazines.. haha dont worry i didnt see anything that was in the bag. but that was a big step for john! i told him if he's ever tempted to look at porn, that he should watch the book of mormon dvd that i gave him. i put it right on his keyboard. :) haha he said he would do that! so we'll see him on wednesday at 4:00! :) it was awesome! and to end the day we threw the SATIN BLACK BAG IN A TESCOS RUBBISH CAN!! it was sweet!

I love and miss all of you guys so much! yesterday at church we had a ton of primary kids, most of them were our nephew and nieces age. it really made me want to cry cause i miss my NEPHEWS AND NIECES!! :( but all is well!
I LOVE YOU GUYS AGAIN!! i gotta go build the kingdom! hear from you next monday!

Jaxon cutting his Companion's hair! This is his first time cutting any one's hair, so he HAD to document it. And what is that? Saran wrap around him? Ha ha I'll have to ask him next week :)

3rd Letter From Elder Keller!

hello everyone!

sorry i didnt email on monday.. we drove 6 hours up to Staines.. its pretty much in London. im still car sick.. holy cow.. so this last week in a half we have been doing the same things pretty much.. its still freezing cold here, except today was the first time the sun was actually out! it was very nice! but hardley anyone listens to us.. we have 3 progessing investigators, they are such awesome people! Phil Vilna and Wayn. wonderful people, so pray for then that they will be baptized! this last monday we went to this huge castle on a tiny island! it was the coolest thing! im totally taking my family there some day! when the current is low you can walk out to the island, they build a rock walk way out there it was awesome! its like a half a mile long. i took a million pictures of it! we had a guy in out ward Brother Topham take us on a tour through the castle, he worked on that island for 17 years, then got converted to the church and got fired from that job cause he was talking about our church to other people too much.. haha oh hes awesome! so we got in the castle for free becasue of him! and he told us all about it! all i can really say is that it was built in the 1700s... it was so big i couldnt believe how they could build such a thing that long ago.. while we were going through the castle they had there own chapel (the church of England). i thought it would be funny to get out my book of mormon and hold it and get a picture in the chapel. haha i thought it was funny. :)
ive been driving a lot! its been really weird because of course we are driving on the left side of the road, so im gettin my British lisence baby! england has been great! the only thing that could be better is the weather.. but im havin a lot of fun! its really beautiful out here! they have these things called pasties, and i bought a humungous one and i only ate like a quarter of it.. im just throwing out random stories cause i have no time! haha i buzzed my head 2 days ago and i look like a tool..  so im not gonna do that again.. im always starving! i honestly think ive gained at least 15 pounds.. haha cause we never work out either.. no time.. but anyways guys.. i sure love you all! next time when ill actually have enough time to give you all details.. so sorry if this email didnt make any sence.. love you!! the church is true!! gotta go try build the kingdom! cheers! :)
